I, also Waisted Willie, cut my teeth on hallucinogens downs booze and all that good kind of stuff that you could do in the seventies…especially the early ones (the seventies, remember them?). I have been “williesober”; you know, on and off a couple times a year…month…whoever long. I graduated High School in 1973 and worked as a tree surgeon till I got tired of tree limbs hitting me in the head. That’s when I came down out of the trees for good and went to Glassboro (NJ) State College in 1981. I still sound a lot like your uncle (and yes, alot is two words @ a lot). Have come up with a thing or two in my day that, if you like, you can pay me for if they sell tee shirts, bumper stickers and what – not. Interested? I’d like to work for Wasted Willie. Well sir, as long as i’m here, i thought i’d say i agree and disagree with you on two main points.

1. He was most certainly trying to get easy money and those security companies do rip you off and lock you into contracts. They also target the old and frail. Scaring him out of the building was a service to your community sir!(i worked for one of these companies monitoring alarms. The security ones are a waste of time, however the medical alarms are an excellent service and in my short time in the industry i saw them save about 30 people’s lives.)

2. I am not impressed you chose to strike a young man who’s personal purpose was one of good will and earning a living, which is not so easy these days. I’m glad he took it to the authorities attention. I hope it doesn’t take too much of your precious blogging time to observe the only really good law; Don’t hurt people!

Apart from that, an interesting read, you have a way with words (you grumpy old codger! )

Best of luck, Willie. Seems to me all you did was try to Enlighten that boy, which is a kindness. It’s a damn shame they bring you to court for talking religion to a fellow. Isn’t this the USA? That’s the kind of thing they do in those places we send soldiers to in order to help em. Anyway, I’ll have some good corn liquor waiting for you when you get out.
